About Noel
My passion for Excel began through working with information systems where structure and accuracy are essential. I earned an M.Sc in Management Information Systems, which strengthened my understanding of how spreadsheets support analytics, productivity, and professional reporting. With 11 years of teaching experience, I have helped students and professionals develop Excel skills that feel practical, empowering, and lasting.
I believe Excel should be taught with clarity and patience. My approach focuses on breaking down tools step by step and helping learners understand the logic behind functions. I enjoy guiding students who may feel overwhelmed at first, showing them how quickly confidence grows through practice. Lessons are always personalised to match the learner’s pace and needs.
Outside tutoring, I stay engaged with modern data methods and evolving spreadsheet tools. Teaching Excel is meaningful because it provides learners with an immediate, useful skill for work and study. Supporting students as they gain independence and control with data is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.

Excel becomes a valuable skill when students learn how to use it for clarity, organisation, and real decision-making. In my lessons, I teach Excel through practical tasks such as tracking finances, organising research data, creating reports, and building structured workflows. I focus on helping learners understand how formulae, tables, and functions work together so they can solve problems independently. Sessions are calm, friendly, and designed to build confidence through steady progress.
Lessons are shaped around each learner’s goals. Beginners start with spreadsheet navigation, clean formatting, simple arithmetic formulae, and basic charts. Intermediate learners explore functions like nested IF statements, lookups, text tools, and data organisation techniques. Advanced students develop stronger skills in pivot analysis, dashboard creation, automation ideas, and professional-level reporting. Every class includes guided exercises so learners build competence through active practice.
Excel learning often creates immediate improvement in both academic and workplace performance. Students feel more organised and capable when working with numbers and information.
