About Myla
I am an Excel tutor with 5 years of teaching experience, helping high school and college students build strong practical skills. I have successfully trained around 200 to 250 students, guiding them from basic understanding to confident use of Excel in academic and real-world tasks.
My teaching covers Microsoft Excel fundamentals and advanced topics such as data entry, formatting, formulas and functions, charts, pivot tables, dashboards, conditional formatting, lookup functions, and basic data analysis. I also introduce students to practical applications like reports, budgeting sheets, attendance systems, and data management tasks.
My teaching philosophy is simple and practical. I believe students learn best when they understand how Excel is used in real life. I focus on clear explanations, step-by-step learning, and regular practice. I break complex topics into simple parts so every student can learn at their own pace without confusion.
I strongly emphasize problem-solving skills. Instead of memorizing formulas, I help students understand how and when to use them. I also encourage creativity by guiding students to build their own spreadsheets, reports, and simple dashboards.
Consistency and practice are important in my sessions. I give regular tasks and small assignments to ensure steady improvement. I also review student work carefully and provide clear feedback to help them improve quickly.
I take pride in being patient, supportive, and motivating. Many of my students started with little or no Excel knowledge and are now confident in using it for studies, projects, and internships.
My goal is to make every student job-ready and confident in Excel, whether for academic success or future career opportunities.

My teaching approach for Excel is practical, structured, and focused on real understanding. I help students build strong fundamentals in Microsoft Excel and related tools such as data entry, formatting, formulas, functions, charts, pivot tables, dashboards, and basic data analysis. I also cover useful topics like data cleaning, conditional formatting, lookup functions, and basic automation using Excel features.
I believe Excel is best learned through real-life examples and case studies. So, I use practical business and academic scenarios like budgeting, attendance tracking, sales reports, and data organization tasks. This helps students understand how Excel is used in school, university, and workplace environments.
My sessions focus heavily on problem-solving. I give students step-by-step guidance to solve tasks, then gradually encourage them to do it independently. I break complex problems into simple parts so learning becomes easy and logical.
Creativity is also an important part of my teaching. I encourage students to design simple dashboards, create visual reports, and present data in a clear and professional way. This helps them think beyond basic formulas and develop real Excel skills.
I maintain accountability by giving regular practice tasks and small assignments after each session. This ensures continuous improvement and steady progress. I also review their work carefully and provide clear feedback for correction and growth.
