About Ryan
As an incoming freshman at the University of Southern Florida, I bring a wealth of knowledge and a passion for teaching, born out of my own academic struggles at Monroe Township High School. Over the past two years, I've had the pleasure of tutoring at my local library and Schoolhouse, specifically in Calculus, SAT Math, Biology, Microeconomics, Physics, Algebra 1 and 2, and Geometry. My favorite subject is Calculus, as I find joy in treating each problem like a puzzle waiting to be solved. My teaching philosophy advocates for an active learning environment, favoring engaging lesson plans and practice problems over passive lectures, fostering a more stimulating learning experience. Outside academia, I enjoy powerlifting, camping, and basketball, which I believe nurture discipline, resilience, and team spirit – traits that I bring to my tutoring sessions. I am committed to helping students find their own path to success and instilling in them a lifelong love for learning.
