About Max
Hi, I am Max, a 6th Form Student at Westminster School, currently taking Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Latin. I have a passion for both Maths, and the Classical World, primarily the languages. I am one of 9 exhibition holders in my year, an award given to the highest performing students in the year at the end of Year 9. I have 9 9s at GCSE, in Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, French (which I sat a year early), Computer Science, Electronics, Latin, and Classical Greek, and 2 8s, in English Literature and English Language. I also have a 35 in my ACT (36 in Maths, 36 in Science, 36 in English, and 32 in Reading). In terms of UKMT, I have gotten a Gold Medal 3 times in the Senior Maths Challenge, 7 times in the Intermediate Maths Challenge, and 4 times in the Junior Maths Challenge. I got a silver medal in the Junior Maths Olympiad, and a bronze medal in the Maclaurin Olympiad. When teaching, I specifically tailor my style depending on the type of person I am teaching. I am very happy to teach more content, or to give the student more practice. I want my students to understand what I am teaching them, rather than just getting them to regurgitate what I tell them. I am often teaching my fellow students at school (primarily Maths, Physics and Latin). Lessons would normally last an hour, but I am happy to adjust based off desires.
