About Pancras
With over 15 years of teaching and tutoring experience, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to helping students excel in mathematics. My teaching journey has spanned middle school, high school, and advanced topics like calculus, working with students in Ghana, South Africa, and the United States. This global experience has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of diverse educational systems and cultural approaches to learning. For the past six years, I have been teaching online, mastering the use of digital tools to create interactive and engaging lessons tailored to each student’s unique needs. I specialize in preparing students for a variety of curricula and exams, including Cambridge A and AS Levels, the IB Curriculum, IEB, and SATs just to mention a few. As a tutor, I am passionate about making mathematics and precalculus accessible, engaging, and tailored to each student's needs. I have extensive experience working with a variety of curricula, including Cambridge A and AS Levels, the IB Curriculum, IEB, and preparation for standardized tests like the SATs. This versatility allows me to adapt my teaching to meet the specific requirements and expectations of each curriculum, ensuring that my students are well-prepared and confident in their mathematical studies.
I use a step-by-step approach to simplify complex topics, integrating visual aids, real-world examples, and interactive tools like Desmos and graphing calculators. I scaffold lessons to build on prior knowledge, encouraging active participation and problem-solving. For difficult concepts, I break them into manageable parts and use analogies to make them relatable.
