About Shubah
I am a student in her second year of study at KCL, studying Chemistry. I have been tutoring for 4 years now, both individual sessions as well as group sessions at a centre. I’ve worked in students of all ages, from primary students to A Levels students, whom have achieved high grades and continually praised my teaching.

My teaching methodology typically incurs me providing students with examples, with a step to step detailed guide (particularly useful for maths and chemistry) , and then allowing my students to do a lot of practice questions. I believe that these subjects are a skills, and to master any skill practice is key.
For content based subjects (science, especially biology) I like to use diagrams and explain in a concise, bullet point manner. I use specifications as a guide, provided my exam board which ensures that exam preparation can take place as soon as my lessons begin with a student.
With regards to exam prep, I go thru methods of revision with my students to help them retain information. Exam practice is vital, so I regularly provide my students with this.
My A Level results were AAA, my college also did OCR as an exam board (most difficult). I use teachings methods and revision styles that helped myself and my friend on my students, so I can ensure they get the best help possible.
I regularly (on a two month basis) check understanding of topics previously taught (via quiz) as I find that some students can quickly recall information, however forget it over time. The process of recalling information after a time period has been PROVEN to help RETAIN INFORMATION over a longer period. I know not very many teachers do this, and I can confirm when revising for my final exams I recalled information that I had learnt a year ago, so less revision overall was required.
