About Roisin
I’ve always loved English - reading and writing have been my way to relax and explore ideas. During university, I took a TEFL module and began tutoring, and something clicked: I realised how much I love helping others discover the same joy. For me, English is about discussion, debate, and that amazing moment when a student truly ‘gets it.’ That pride in their progress is what drives me. For the past two years, I taught in Hong Kong, preparing students for UK boarding school entrance, designing curriculum, and supporting learners of all backgrounds. Whether it’s 7+ exams, A-levels, or ESL, I adapt to each student’s needs - making lessons fun, personal, and focused on real understanding. Outside teaching, I’m a huge fan of Shakespeare, drama, and science fiction - because great stories spark curiosity, imagination, and critical thinking, the very skills I love passing on to my students.
