About Prakash

I am a passionate, sincere and approachable person who genuinely enjoys helping children learn and grow. I find it rewarding to see students develop their understanding, overcome challenges and gain confidence in their abilities.

As a tutor, I believe every child learns differently. I take the time to listen to each student, understand their individual needs and adapt my approach to help them learn at their own pace. I aim to create a positive, patient and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and trying again.

I take pride in my students' progress and believe that building confidence is just as important as improving academic results. My approach is based on honesty, patience, encouragement and a genuine commitment to each child's development.

With over 24 years of professional experience in accounting and finance, I bring strong numerical and problem-solving skills to my tutoring. My goal is to help primary school students build a solid foundation in mathematics, develop independent thinking and discover that learning math can be both enjoyable and rewarding.

# My Teaching Method and Approach

My teaching approach focuses on helping students understand the logic behind mathematics rather than simply memorizing formulas or procedures. I break complex problems into smaller, manageable steps and explain each concept in simple, easy-to-understand language.

Where possible, I relate mathematical concepts to practical, everyday situations so students can understand how math works in real life. I encourage students to ask questions, work through examples and develop their own problem-solving skills. My aim is to build a strong foundation in mathematics, improve accuracy and gradually develop each student's confidence and independence.

With over 24 years of professional experience in accounting and finance, I bring strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills to my lessons. I take a structured and patient approach, adapting explanations and practice exercises to suit each student's learning needs and pace.

My lessons are suitable for primary school students in Years 1–5 who want to strengthen their mathematical foundations, improve their understanding of key concepts, receive additional support with schoolwork or develop greater confidence in mathematics.

A typical lesson can run for 60 minutes, with time allocated to reviewing previous learning, explaining concepts, working through examples and practicing questions independently. My goal is to help every student understand not just how to obtain an answer, but why the method works.
