About Amelia
I studied English Literature at University College Dublin and also hold TEFL and AMET (Advanced Methodologies for English Teachers) certificates from Universitat Internacional de Catalunya. I speak Spanish (although it's a little rusty) and because of this can give extra explanations to Spanish speakers as to why they may find themselves repeating the same errors. I love cooking, eating and travelling.
Having had the personal experience of moving to another country without the local language allows me to empathise with and understand students' language needs.

Teaching English as an additional language for over 7 years has given me a wide-ranging scope into how to orchestrate a practical, dynamic lesson where the student can advance and feel progression quickly. I have worked in many of Melbourne's most reputable language colleges with students of all ages and abilities from very beginners to advanced/ proficient levels. Preparation for Cambridge and IELTS exams is also available.
In a typical class you can expect to practise speaking with confidence, receive constructive pointers on correcting pronunciation errors, and of course, all the grammar and vocab tips and tricks. Activities to improve listening and writing, help with work emails or presentations, or whatever it is that you need can be organised.
