About Suzanne
I hold a PhD in English with over 10 years experience teaching in higher education. I have also earned a state teaching license after studying education and curriculum design. I have taught college courses in writing and literature, so I understand how to help you break down your assignments and complete your essays for a successful outcome. Students I have helped write college admissions essays have been accepted to prestigious schools including Brown University, Johns Hopkins, Columbia University, and NYU. I am effective with students at every level and across multiple learning challenges.

My approach to learning is about encouragement and practical methods. Writing is both an art and a skill, and while some have a natural ability, we are all capable of practicing the underlying skills to improve. I work to diagnose student needs and provide practical methods in areas of mechanics, grammar, structure, and organization. I give students tested methods and focused planning proven to help every writer make forward progress. I also am especially good at anxiety reduction to help writer’s overcome blocks, especially on longer writing projects. Anyone can be an effective writer given the right tools and guided practice.
