About Matthew
I am an ESL teacher with more than three years experience in the classroom. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master of Science in Global and National Security, both from the University of New Mexico, USA. In addition, I have been fortunate enough to live in work in places like Mexico, Colombia, Turkey and Russia.

When I was young, I was told I had a language-learning disability and would never learn another language. Fast-forward some years, and I now speak three. I know all about the struggles of learning another language. Not all students learn the same and I work with every student to find and evolve the most effective learning method.
I earned a CELTA from Cambridge University, which stresses a multi-faceted approach while maximizing student participation. I favor this approach. The student and I are partners in this learning experience and we both carry responsibilities to make sure we maximize our efforts. I also believe this process CAN sometimes be fun!
