About Hélida
I started very young giving lessons to some children in my town who had difficulty in Portuguese. After that, I taught English in Brazil to young students and adults. They have passed their proficiency test in English and a few others got jobs they wanted, that require English skills.

My name is Hélida, I am Cape Verdean and I have a degree in Letters Portuguese and English. I studied in Brazil for 4 years, but before that I lived in the United States where I worked in a hospital, a fast food restaurant and a pharmaceutical company. I have an extensive vocabulary in both languages and with my studies and I also managed to improve grammar. I try to start my lessons with the knowledge of my students. I think it's a good way to transmit, combining the topic of the lesson with the daily life of the student.
