About Tanvi
I'm a passionate doctoral student at the Centre for Experimental Pathogen Host Research, University College Dublin. My journey into biology started with a B.Sc. in biotechnology, where I delved into molecular biology, cell biology, and microbiology. Noteworthy projects included studying wheat salinity stress using halophilic bacteria and investigating extremotolerant bacteria survival from a meteorite impact.
Eager to deepen my understanding, I pursued a Master's in Biotechnology at Amity University, Mumbai where I was awarded a gold medal. As a teaching assistant to one the professor, I shared insights on microbiology, molecular biology, and industrial biology.
Post-masters, I joined a poultry company as an R&D Officer and contributed to viral-vectored vaccine development for infectious poultry diseases. Simultaneously, I mentored students on weekends, providing guidance with assignments and projects.
Currently pursuing a Ph.D., I'm immersed in advanced practical and theoretical knowledge. My journey, from academic studies to hands-on research and teaching, equips me with a comprehensive grasp of biotechnology.
