About Katherine
Hello, my name is Katherine! I graduated with a Masters in Spanish Linguistics & Literature with a minor in Education. I am a certified teacher and have been teaching English, ESL, and Spanish for 7 years. I love to help others learn new languages, just as I loved learning Spanish.
I have 7 years of certified teaching experience, and I am TEFL & ESL certified. I teach English, Spanish 1-AP Spanish, and reading. I believe that learning should be fun and engaging while still being dedicated to the learning objective. I have taught classes with 30 students in middle school, and as an interventionist taught in small group settings of 4-5 students and 1 to 1.

I am a dedicated tutor who will tailor my lessons with your goal in mind. I will show you study skills to make big tasks feel less intimidating. I have a masters degree in Spanish Literature & Linguistics that can help students from Spanish 1- Spanish AP classes.
I will use lesson plans to introduce the topic needed in an exciting way and then teach the material explicitly, leaving time at the end for the student to practice the material and adjust any lessons to the students needs.
I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible and welcome suggestions or resources that students or parents may provide. I do ask for a 24hr cancellation notice to respect each other's time. I am easy to reach and will respond in a timely manner.
