About Emily
I have over 6 years of experience working in inner city London state schools as a qualified A Level and GCSE Physics teacher. I have a BSc physics degree from Durham University and a PGCE in secondary physics teaching. In my A Level classes I have worked with a wide range of needs and abilities, ranging from supporting students who entered the course with grades 6 in GCSE maths and science achieve their target grades, to supporting A* students successfully applying to Oxbridge.

I teach KS3 science and GCSE and A Level Physics - 1 hour sessions.
Students say I am a kind and patient teacher. I anticipate concepts that students struggle with before the lesson and know the importance of being able to explain things in more than one way. I set practice questions based on concepts I know they have struggled with previously, believing in the power of repetition mixed with critical thinking to achieve the top grades.
