About Aaron
Hi there! My name is Aaron! I am based out of Northern New Jersey, but I grew up in South Jersey. I have been teaching for over 6 years within the high school setting. I have taught every grade and almost all levels of that grade (resource room to Honors).
As a tutor, I have tutored on and off for the last 6 years. I have tutored Middle School ELA, High School English, SAT Prep, and College Essay support. In these lessons I have helped strengthen students' skills from " the summer drop" as well as built up students' test scores. I have also helped students get into some of the best colleges in the United States.

My lessons are very much based on my students' needs. Typically after our first meeting I look to see: the students' goals, their strengths, their weaknesses. From there I work to build lessons and curriculum that will work with and support them.
Typically my lessons start with me doing a 10-15 minute mini lesson on what we are focusing on for the day. From there we will do a variety of different practices. Sometimes it will be a " we do" practice where we work together, sometimes a "you do" practice where the student practices the skill on their own, then we work through feedback together.
For test prep- I focus a lot on practicing the test then spending time where they got things wrong as well as where they got things right, and providing a more set up practice for support.
What sets me apart is that I am very much looking at the student as a whole- meaning that I look at the students' strengths and weaknesses to best help them learn and engage with the content. I take the students' interests and what they like into the classroom to better support them.
