About Katie
I have been a teacher for 6 years now and am really passionate about science, and about supporting a young person to achieve results they are genuinely proud of.
I have a strong background in student pastoral needs, and I am a Head of Year at an Ofsted excellent school in Cambridge, but I also have a strong history of academic success in my GCSE and IB classes. I teach IB Psychology and Biology and have a good knowledge of the A-Level curricula too. I can tutor in GCSE Biology, Chemistry or Physics and Science at Key Stage 3.

As part of my in-school teaching role, I work with a range of students: from those who have severe anxiety and need a gentle and reassuring approach and a focus on the foundation content to those who want to turn a grade 8 into a grade 9, I am incredibly able and willing to teach the individual. I will use a range of approaches that will include recalling, assessing, exam technique preparation and step by step modelling but importantly I will be focussing on the individual and their needs, including specific educational needs and disabilities.
