About Rachel
I am an experienced piano teacher with an ABRSM Grade 8 qualification and over five years of professional teaching experience. I currently balance a busy private studio with teaching at a music school, working with a wide range of students aged 5 to 65+, from complete beginners to advanced players.

I have a strong background in Classical Piano and enjoy helping students build a solid musical foundation. My lessons focus on developing proper finger technique, expressive interpretation, and a deep understanding of music theory. While I follow the classical tradition, I keep my lessons engaging to ensure students stay motivated while mastering the essentials.
I have a 100% pass rate in ABRSM exams, with many of my students achieving Merit or Distinction. I also encourage performance opportunities, such as local festivals, to help students build confidence.
Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, I am able to connect with students from diverse backgrounds. Whether you are just beginning your musical journey or seeking to refine your playing, I am dedicated to helping you achieve your full potential.

Perfect! Rachel really took the time to understand where I’m at as I have some experience. She quickly picked up some areas I could work on around hand positioning and note reading. I was really impressed with Rachel’s patience but also not being afraid to call out areas I could approve. A great teacher :)

Rachel is a fantastic teacher! She has always arrived punctually and she's so nice. I've learnt so much in just a few lessons and she has been extremely patient. Rachel has been teaching my son for last 3 years in Hong Kong. She is a friendly, caring, considerate person. She is very approachable and can get along with my son easily.
