About Evie
I frequently deliver in-person French lessons to primary-aged children, in a school setting, incorporating fun activities and games to support building vocabulary, understanding grammar rules, and exploring French culture.
As a university student myself, with years of childcare and tutoring experience, I appreciate the feeling of being in education and always keep a student-led approach at the core of my teaching.

Experienced French tutor who brings fun to language-learning.
My online lessons start wherever the student feels comfortable with an informal discussion about their language-learning goals. Whether it’s to learn key vocabulary or develop into fluency, everyone’s learning journey is unique and I can accommodate for.
When working with children, the key is to keep their learning engaging and exciting, a class they can enjoy and look forward to. So, games, challenges and activities are central to my teaching plan, along with memory games and revision that help consolidate knowledge between classes.
One of the most important parts of language-learning, for me, is also the exploration of culture. Central to my teaching is discussions of aspects of French history and culture, as I often introduce French music, foods and important events to provide an interesting context to the language they are learning. I aim to provide an understanding of both France and the wider French-speaking world.
