About Rachel
I am a junior special education major at Bradley University. I have 8+ years of experience working with children of all ages and abilities in both academic and recreational settings. I absolutely love to teach and have had plentiful amounts of experience with tutoring. I strive to form a connection with every student I meet because I believe students work best when they are happy and motivated. My tutoring strengths are English (reading and writing) and maths, however I am able to help with most any subject!

My approach to teaching is to make the environment as warm, welcoming, and fun as possible while still helping each student grasp key concepts. This is because I believe students work best when they are comfortable and motivated. If a student is unhappy, they will not be willing to learn. A tutor must always meet the student where they are at; not the other way around. I have never worked with a student who I could not make smile or laugh by the end of our session!
