About John Michael
I've been making music or teaching full time for the past decade or so. I've helped several students pass their grades, in fact I haven't had a student fail their graded exams yet. My students seem to regard me as a strict but very helpful teacher who offers a lot of knowledge above and beyond basic guitar playing (musicality, guitar maintenance, buying advice).

I can tailor my teaching style to the student. I get parents who want their kids to do grades but I also get people who just want to study a general style of music and prefer a more informal approach, I can do either. I've been teaching freelance for 7 years, no teaching qualifications but lots of experience. I have a music degree from the Birmingham Conservatoire. Lessons are 30-60 minutes. I teach any age, beginner to intermediate level.
