Tutor with over ten years' experience helping students fulfil their potential. Lessons are tailored to your needs and interests, and delivered in a friendly, but challenging learning environment. Lessons are focused on developing you into independent, resilient, and curious lifelong learners. This is achieved through flipped learning, quizzes, practising key skills, revising content and practising exam technique. Revision resources will be sent to you after our lessons, so you can consolidate your learning, and you will be set homework tasks to complete. I have taught all Key Stages, from Early Years Foundation Stage, to Further Education. I hold a PGCE in Secondary English, and I specialised in Medieval English Literatures for my MA. I'm also trained in TEFL, with a developing knowledge of IELTS. Further specialisms include writing Personal Statements, and Oxbridge Interview preparation. As part of Oxbridge preparation I have held mock interviews (subject specific and general). I have taught A-Level English (Unit 2, WJEC) Language & Literature, most recently delivering A Streetcar Named Desire, and Once in a House on Fire. Other experience includes teaching Welsh (Second Language, WJEC) and French (WJEC) to GCSE level.
