About Stuart
I’m a dedicated, experienced drum teacher based in Aberdeen, with a passion for helping students of all ages and abilities enjoy playing drums and reach their goals. I’ve been playing and performing for many years, and I hold a strong understanding of modern teaching methods, as well as the Rockschool and Trinity graded syllabuses.
My approach is friendly, encouraging, and completely tailored to you — whether you’re picking up sticks for the first time, looking to improve your technique, work towards exams, or just learn your favourite songs for fun. I believe lessons should be challenging but never stressful, so I always work at a pace that suits you.
I teach in-person from my studio in central Aberdeen, and also deliver high-quality online lessons across the whole of the UK using Microsoft Teams. Online lessons are structured just the same as face‑to‑face sessions, with clear camera angles, sheet music shared instantly, and real‑time feedback so you progress just as quickly.
Over the years I’ve helped students pass grades with merit and distinction, build confidence to play in bands, and simply discover the joy of making music. Whether you’re 6 or 60, there’s no better time to start or get back to drumming.

I am an experienced drum teacher offering high-quality, tailored lessons for complete beginners right through to advanced players of all ages. Whether you want to play for fun, learn your favourite songs, or work towards graded exams (Rockschool, Trinity, etc.), lessons are designed to suit your pace and goals.
