About Andrea
I am an experienced educator currently working as a preschool teacher while pursuing my master’s degree and teaching certification. I have a strong foundation in early literacy, child development, and creating supportive, engaging learning environments for students.
In addition to my work in early childhood education, I have experience working with and tutoring older children, allowing me to support a wider range of learners across different ages and academic levels. I am confident in adapting my teaching style to meet each student’s needs, whether they are just beginning their learning journey or need additional academic support.
I am patient, reliable, and dedicated to helping students grow both academically and personally. I take pride in being both nurturing and structured, creating a balance that helps students feel comfortable while also making steady progress. I take a well-rounded, student-centered approach to tutoring that blends play-based learning with structured instruction, including worksheets, crafts, and visual supports. As an early childhood educator currently pursuing my master’s degree and teaching certification, I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt each session to fit their individual learning style and needs.
A typical lesson includes a warm-up to build comfort and engagement, a focused skill such as reading, writing, phonics, or language development, and a mix of activities to reinforce learning. I often incorporate games, hands-on activities, whiteboard visuals, and guided practice to help students fully understand concepts.
What sets me apart is my ability to balance engaging lessons with meaningful academic progress. I meet students where they are, but I also challenge them when they are ready and the goal is attainable. My approach builds both confidence and skill development.
