About Saskia
I graduated from the University of Sheffield with a First in Biochemistry in 2021. I have a huge passion for science and maths, and really enjoy sharing this passion with others!
I am a qualified educator, with years of experience in a range of situations. I regularly mentored University students in University level biochemistry. I have tutored highschool students in Maths, Chemistry and Biology. I have also coached swimming to a range of ages and worked in a forest school for many years.
I have also worked as a private teacher, teaching the entirety of A-level biology to a student on-line, and loved the opportunity to go over such exciting content, and see her grades and confidence skyrocket!

Hi,
I'm Saskia! I'm a Biochemistry graduate and experienced educator, who really enjoys tutoring, and wants to help you! I love to find out students' passions and goals, and then modify my lessons to boost students' interest, and help them gain confidence!
About the lessons:
I am a strong advocate for relating topics to students interests. I think complex topics can be made far more interesting by relating them to students' passions. Lessons will be engaging, fun and flexible. I try to adjust to students needs and wants, and make sure the lessons are as interesting as possible!
I am a visual learner, so I often like to break down complex concepts with diagrams and stories. I think this is far more memorable and fun too! I also believe in learning to answer questions to the mark scheme, in order to ensure getting a high grade. I like to keep things flexible, so the lessons can best benefit the students. That means I can change lesson lengths, frequency, teaching style and focus, depending on if students want to improve grades, focus on tricky topics, cram for exams, or just re-ignite their interest!
After tutoring with me, I hope you will feel more excited about the topics and more confident in your abilty to get good grades.
