About Alison
I have a genuine passion for English Literature and Creative Writing and share this in my teaching. Throughout my 20 years in the classroom, I have gained a track record of helping students to achieve exam results above their expected results.
I have been an examiner for AQA, and written study guides for various publishers - including York Notes, Teachit and Scholastic. I offer a solid understanding of exam specifications at GCSE and A Level and will help you to understand how to hit assessment objectives with your responses.
I can offer structured feedback on essays, detailed guides to poetry, engaging sessions to support you to excel at English and English Literature.
In our first session, we spend a little time establishing your requirements and understanding where you most need support. Further sessions will be tailored to help you go beyond what you thought you were capable of.
