About Cheyenne
I am a University of California, Los Angeles graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and a minor in English. I also hold a Certificate of Merit, Advanced level 10, piano from the The Music Teachers Association of California. I have obtained both my TEFL and CELTA certifications. I taught English as a second language in Vietnam for five years in person and have had various online clients since the pandemic. Teaching is my passion and I take it very seriously, education is the key to making this world a better place and I just want to be a part of it. Education is number one but I also like my students to feel open and comfortable speaking in a new language, there is no shaming or scolding in my classes - just acceptance, gentle correction and always a few laughs.

My methods and techniques follow the TEFL/CELTA model. With elementary aged students, I enjoy creating my own interactive games and lesson plans to educate whilst also keeping young learners engaged and entertained. I love to keep classes light and fun in order to encourage and motivate students rather than arduous, exhausting, repetitive lessons. It's always better to mix things up and keep my students on their toes with fun challenges and competitions within the class.
