About Laura
Hi! I’m Laura, an experienced elementary and ESL teacher with more than 10 years of experience helping children learn and grow.
I hold a Master’s degree in Education as well as TESOL and TEFL certifications. My experience includes teaching in elementary classrooms and working with children online as an ESL teacher. I especially enjoy helping young learners develop their English speaking, listening, reading, vocabulary, and communication skills.
As a teacher, I believe children learn best when they feel comfortable, encouraged, and successful. I’m patient, positive, and experienced in adapting instruction to meet each child at their individual level.
Whether your child is just beginning to learn English or is ready to become a more confident and fluent speaker, I would love to help them build their skills and feel successful using English!

My English lessons are interactive, encouraging, and designed to get young learners actively using English. Rather than simply memorizing vocabulary, students have plenty of opportunities to speak, answer questions, describe pictures, read, listen, and use new language in conversation.
Lessons are tailored to each child’s English level and learning goals. Depending on your child’s needs, we may work on vocabulary, pronunciation, listening and reading comprehension, sentence building, grammar, or conversational English.
I especially enjoy helping children become more comfortable speaking in complete sentences and expressing their own ideas in English. I use visuals, games, conversation, and age-appropriate activities to keep lessons engaging while providing plenty of repetition and practice.
Whether your child is just beginning to learn English or already speaks English and needs help becoming more fluent and confident, I will meet them at their current level and help them continue to grow.
