I am a qualified science teacher of 10+ years with a specialism in Biology, offering tutoring in GCSE Biology (all exam boards), KS3 Science, and AQA GCSE Physics. My approach to tutoring focuses on developing a strong understanding of scientific processes rather than rote learning. I use simple analogies and real-life examples to make complex ideas easier to grasp and more memorable, particularly in Biology, where understanding how processes work is key to success. By relating content to everyday life, students are able to visualise concepts more clearly and apply their knowledge more effectively in exams. I take a friendly, calm, and supportive approach to teaching, which helps build positive relationships with my students. Creating a relaxed learning environment encourages students to ask questions, engage fully, and develop confidence in their abilities. This positive mindset plays a crucial role in improving both understanding and grades. Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and are tailored to the individual needs of each student. Sessions often include a recap of prior learning, clear explanation of key concepts, guided practice, and exam-style questions where appropriate. I regularly check for understanding and adapt the pace and focus of lessons to ensure progress is consistent and meaningful. My lessons are suitable for KS3 students aged 11–14 who need additional support or challenge in Science, as well as GCSE students aged 14–16 studying Biology across all exam boards and AQA GCSE Physics. Whether a student is aiming to build foundational knowledge, improve exam technique, or boost confidence in science, my tutoring is designed to support them every step of the way. I aim to assist students in achieving the grade they want, regardless of their target grade. I have many previous students who achieved 1+ and 2+ grades above their target grade, and were very happy on results day.
