About Shea
I am a writer, film critic, journalist, and current Master of Legal Studies student at the University of Oklahoma. Stories and the way they develop has always been my passion and now, I've been writing and analyzing visual storytelling for publications like Roger Ebert and Film School Rejects. I graduated with my undergraduate degree with honors in film from Hunter College in New York City. I also have created a short film that has screened at many festivals.

My approach depends on the student(s). It is best to teach in a unique way that the students can understand and my hope is to pass my passion for visual storytelling to those who want to learn. Movies are entertainment but they are also art! This means that watching certain cinematic pieces that are age appropriate are required as well as discussion afterwards. Overall, it is just about expanding critical thinking skills with the use of movies.
