About Naima

About the lesson

Bonjour, and welcome! I have been teaching French language and French literature for 31 years. I hold a license (bachelor's degree) in French literature and a teaching diploma from the École Normale Supérieure. I taught in high schools, in both public and private education, and at the Institut français in Casablanca, where I taught children and adults, delivered communication courses for companies, and led literacy classes. More recently, I also taught conversation, literature and poetry at the Alliance Française of Raleigh, North Carolina. Over 31 years, I have learned that French cannot be taught the same way to a 10-year-old, to a high-school student preparing for the baccalauréat, to a business professional who needs to negotiate in French, or to an adult learning to read. I tailor every lesson to your goal, your pace, and the way you learn best. My specialties include general French and conversation at all levels (A1 to C2) for children and adults; exam preparation for the French baccalauréat and the DELF and DALF diplomas, as well as the TCF; French literature, including text analysis, essays and the commentaire composé; professional French and business communication; and literacy and reading and writing support. I can also give lessons with explanations in Darija (Moroccan Arabic) for Moroccan and Maghrebi learners, and I speak English at an intermediate level, enough to guide English-speaking beginners. All my lessons are held online. I would be delighted to help you reach your goals in French!
