About Camryn
Bonjour! My name is Camryn, and I am passionate about helping students discover the joy of learning French. I hold a Bachelor of Education in Junior/Intermediate French from the University of Western Ontario, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in French Studies and Sociology and a Certificate in Writing. My interest in French began early, when I earned my French Diploma in high school, and it has continued to grow ever since. I have over one year of experience tutoring French and have worked with students ranging from ages 4 to 17. In addition, I have supported individuals with diverse learning needs, including those with autism, ADHD, and Down syndrome. These experiences have taught me the importance of patience, creativity, and adaptability when it comes to teaching. Outside of academics, I enjoy writing, reading, and exploring new ways to connect with language and culture. I bring this enthusiasm into my lessons, where I encourage students to practice speaking aloud, explore conversation, and engage with French in meaningful ways. Above all, I aim to make learning French supportive, fun, and rewarding. My goal is to help every student gain confidence, grow their skills, and enjoy the process.

My French lessons are designed for students ages 4–17 and focus on making language learning interactive, engaging, and confidence-building. I believe the most effective way to learn is by speaking aloud, so lessons emphasize conversation practice, pronunciation, and reading activities that encourage students to actively use French in real time.
Every learner is unique, so I tailor my approach to meet different needs and learning styles. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. While I believe in offering challenges, my goal is always to guide students through them with encouragement so they can grow without feeling overwhelmed.
For younger learners, I incorporate games, songs, and visual activities to keep lessons fun and dynamic. For older students, I balance conversational practice with grammar, vocabulary, and writing exercises to strengthen fluency and academic skills.
