About Laura
I am a fully qualified Religious Studies teacher and current Head of Department with over 15 years of experience teaching GCSE and A Level students in UK secondary schools. I hold a PGCE in Religious Studies and a Master’s degree in Theology, and I specialise in AQA GCSE and OCR A Level specifications.
Throughout my career, I have consistently supported students of all abilities to achieve strong outcomes, including those aiming for top grades and those needing clear, structured support to pass. I have extensive experience teaching exam technique, breaking down mark schemes, and helping students understand exactly what examiners are looking for.
My lessons are well-planned, focused, and tailored to each student. I provide clear explanations, model high-quality answers, and give constructive feedback to help students improve quickly and confidently.

I take a clear, structured approach to tutoring, focused on building confidence and strong exam technique. As a Head of Religious Studies with 15+ years’ experience, I combine expert subject knowledge with proven strategies that help students improve quickly.
Lessons typically include quick retrieval practice, focused teaching, and exam-style questions with guided support. I specialise in helping students master GCSE 12-mark questions and A Level essays through clear frameworks and model answers.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes (with longer sessions available).
I am a qualified teacher (PGCE) with a Master’s in Theology, experienced in teaching AQA GCSE and OCR A Level Religious Studies.
