About Jessica

I am a Civil Engineering Postgraduate Student, which essentially means my study is concerned with the physical application of maths and physics principle. I have always had a passion for maths and physics, my mind thrives when evaluating numerical problems and this was reflected in my secondary and A Level results. I achieved 9's in Maths & Physics at GCSE and A*'s in Maths & Physics at A Level. Beyond my results, I am a self-proclaimed people person. I enjoy working with my students, understanding their preferred learning method and being witness to their progression.

About the lesson

As a Tutor and Student I have worked alongside a vast array of people from a variety of backgrounds, through these collaborations it has always been abundantly clear the importance of learning using your preferred method. I, therefore, intend to take a more personal approach to tutoring, considering who you are as a person on top of who you are as a student. Each lesson is uniquely tailored to best meet the needs of every student. Unfortunately (or fortunately for some) subjects like maths and physics require competency handling numbers and so I aim to teach skills which make this process a lot less daunting while transferring as much of my enthusiasm for these subjects to each of my students as I possibly can. You should expect each lesson to be 1 hour. I believe my Tutoring approach is best suited for assisting students at the GCSE and A-level stage of education, where learning outcomes are tangible.
