About Stuart
Hello, I am an experienced guitar player and tutor with 16 years of playing experience. I have Grade 8 Guitar and Grade 5 Music Theory qualifications. I also have an enhanced DBS check. I am based in Cramlington and teach from my home studio but also offer online tuition. I am friendly, reliable, and always go the extra mile to ensure that my students can reach their goals in an efficient and enjoyable way.
I offer a free first lesson!
I have taught pupils of all ages, from primary school children to adults of retirement age. I'm equally comfortable working with beginners, intermediate or more advanced players. My teaching experience covers a wide range of genres including: Rock, Pop, Country, Indie, Jazz, Soul, Blues and many others.

My main focus when working with new students is to assess what they already know, what their goals are and then to come up with a plan of how they can achieve those goals in an efficient and enjoyable way. I tailor my teaching approach to fit each student and their learning style. However, I do believe strongly in a song-based approach where students can come away from each lesson with something meaningful to play rather than a collection of scales/exercises.
