About Connor
I aspire to make music education more accessible to the average person. While studying to become a high school music teacher, I have discovered that when taught correctly, music education can empower young people to learn how to be confident, dedicated, focused, and passionate. I teach guitar (acoustic and electric) and music theory and I show the true value of my time by enhancing students' ability to set themselves goals, find structure in their learning and give them the necessary tools to shine in their academic and musical aspirations.

Hi there :)
My name is Connor Loughrey. I study a Bachelor of Music at Box Hill and hope to one day be a high school music teacher. I want to help people whoever they are be able to make their own music and share it with the world. My lessons are:
- Educational: students will learn how to play chords and melodies, lead and rhythm. I have been tutoring in various subjects for over a year now and playing guitar for 7 years, so I know my stuff!
- Engaging: students are encouraged to not give up, and to improve (and they will!). Each classes approach differs depending on the individual but are refined and goal-driven
- Powerful: learning an instrument is hard work, and my step-by-step teaching method will transform students mindset to empower their learning which enhances self belief, discipline and skill
- Cheap: (see my pricing guide) My lessons begin for as low as $35 per lesson, considerably cheaper than most other experienced teacher musicians

Connor is kind, gentle and has a warm and friendly personality. He would be ideal to learn from! He volunteers with a local youth group and has proven to be responsible, capable and trustworthy. I recommend him to you!
Connor is very adept at teaching, he is very patient and calm whilst being pretty good at guitar. So if you are wanting to start learning Connor is a great person to start with.
