I have taught English in Tasmanian high schools for many years and can adapt lessons to the needs of individual students wanting help in specific areas. I have also been a newspaper journalist and can teach journalism and website writing.

My method is to teach a specific English skill and then practice it - in writing, reading and speaking - until the student has internalized it. Some lessons would include revision of previously taught skills as a reminder.
These would include, for example, aspects of grammar, punctuation and sentence structure, depending on the students' needs.
