About Emilie
Once completing my Master's in Early Modern History, I became a secondary school teacher in the UK. Since then, I have been lucky enough to work as a Professional Genealogist, researching and teaching people about their own family tree. How history has impacted everyday lives is a fantastic learning tool to understand the past and to develop key skills such as critical thinking.

I'm a History Master's graduate with secondary school teaching experience. History should be used to connect the dots between people, places, and events—past and present. I believe history isn't just about memorising dates; it's about understanding the why, the who, and how those stories shape the world we live in now. These skills are vital when preparing for exams or writing top-grade essays. My approach is interactive, curious, and always rooted in real-world relevance. Lessons can be 30 or 60 minutes and are suited to students 11+.
