About Mark
I have found great enjoyment in teaching, which has allowed me to develop a wide range of transferable skills. I believe teaching has helped me to be resilient and reflective about what makes learning engaging and impactful for students. I enjoy creating a relaxed atmosphere in my classroom where students feel both comfortable and challenged to perform their best. My experience has allowed me to work alongside stakeholders and external agencies on large-scale digital transformation projects. As a tutor, I am confident yet approachable, pragmatic, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team.

My tutoring approach is student-centred and pragmatic, focused on making learning engaging and impactful. I create a relaxed yet challenging atmosphere. A typical lesson lasts one hour, but can be adjusted as needed. My qualifications include an MSc in Educational Leadership and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education in Sociology & ICT. I am also a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert for multiple years. I have over 25 years of experience as a teacher and head of department, with a focus on ICT and Computing. I have also worked as an examiner for Edexcel, marking exam scripts. I tutor all levels and ages, including high school students, college students, and adults. I am skilled in curriculum planning and delivery for a variety of abilities.
