Experienced, kind, and patient Yale and RISD-educated tutor teaches college Common App and scholarship application essay-writing, SAT prep, creative writing, arts-focused writing, and more!

Ciara worked with our daughter for more than a year helping her hone her skills, working across a multitude of styles and mediums in fine art. Ciara was always positive and kind, gave specific feedback and detailed order of business from week to week. She took my daughter from being a talented kid with a love of art to a skilled artist with appreciation for all kinds of art. Ciara helped create a confidence in my child that allowed her to try new things and the support she needed to keep at it, to challenge herself, and to have fun while creating! Ciara was always on time, communicated about what to expect each week, and was exactly the kind of support we needed as a family to make the somewhat stressful process of putting together a high school portfolio a good one. We highly recommend her to any parent or family looking to support their child in developing their talent and finding their authenticity.

Ciara is generous and prepared with levels of lessons that are intuitive and expansive. She is reliable and has great input and direction.

She was an amazing teacher for my daughter Charlotte. Super patient and fun! They worked on a variety of projects and Charlotte enjoyed every second of it.

Ciara was a wonderful teacher for my 12 year old daughter. They did a variety of work from honing her drawing skills and painting. She's fun, creative and patient! I would highly recommend her as a teacher!

Ciara is a great art teacher! I did virtual and in-person lessons with her. I was a complete newbie to art and she gave me tasks that were not overwhelming and I have seen my art significantly improve. She is on-time and punctual and very fast to respond. Def recommend.

Ciara is a phenomenal art teacher! She somehow managed to transform and guide my daughter’s artistic abilities and helped her produce a sophisticated, professional High School portfolio. Ciara is prompt, kind, thoughtful, and incredibly talented and my shy daughter blossomed under her tutelage. Ciara is an excellent, highly recommended art tutor and I can’t praise her highly enough!

I’ve been working with Ciara for three months now and she has really helped me improve my art. Although I’m unable to see her in person, the assistance and feedback I receive from her greatly impacts me, and I plan to continue working with her much more in the future because she is a amazing teacher!

I’ve taken a handful of private lessons with Ciara and feel very fortunate and grateful to have found her.
She is a very talented artist and an even better teacher; she has greatly improved my technique and has helped me with my observations about art and life.
I highly recommend her to anyone who is just getting started or looking to improve their skills.

My experience with Ciara has always left me in awe of how talented, insightful and patient she is. She has an amazing ability to identify your aptitudes and cater her tutoring accordingly.
Also, as someone who got into RISD and yale school of architecture she's proven she knows what it takes to make portfolios that get accepted in great schools with focuses that range from art, jewelry to architecture!

Ciara is such a knowledgeable and kind teacher; her comments are always so helpful and insightful! Her lessons are often structured based on the individual needs of the student, and I found the flexibility to be really creatively engaging. Highly recommend :)

I started out as a relative beginner. Ciara introduced me to new media going from pencil and charcoal to paint. And different subjects going from a drawing of an egg to painting portraits.

She always plans great lessons that are adapted to my goals. She is very positive and encouraging in her feedback and makes the lessons and the process of making art very enjoyable.

She has extensive experience making art and knows a great deal of art history and I've learned so much in conversation with her.

Ciara is a talented artist and teacher. She's kind and patient and flexible. I can not recommend her enough. Me daughter looked forward to sessions with her and will continue working with Ciara. My kid was accepted at her top choice art school and I'm so grateful Ciara was able to help her develop her portfolio. Many thanks again!

What a great teacher! Ciara's honest feedback was just what I needed to move my work to a whole new level. I highly recommend her.

Awesome class and teacher! I'm already learning a lot and would definitely recommend!

Ciara is a wonderful teacher, she is thoughtful, kind, and well educated on a variety of topics within art, writing, and art history. She is extremely helpful and has excellent communication skills. Ciara is a great tutor and I would recommend her to not only students who are studying art subjects in school but also for people like me who are learning on their own. She is very patient which anyone who is learning a new subject or topic needs. Her lessons were engaging, useful, and again I would highly recommend her to anyone interested in delving deeper or learning the basics of art and writing.

Very talented, kind, and patient teacher.
