About Peiyu
Hello! My name is Lee Pei Yu, but you can call me Teacher Yu. I’m a language tutor with two years of experience, and I’m currently pursuing my degree in Computer Science. Although my studies are in a technical field, my true passion lies in teaching, and I love helping students of all ages learn Mandarin. I focus on teaching Mandarin to students from kindergarten through secondary school, aiming to make learning fun and effective. I believe in creating an engaging and supportive environment where students feel encouraged to improve their listening, speaking, and writing skills. Teaching is something I truly enjoy, and I'm excited to help you on your Mandarin learning journey!

In my Mandarin lessons, I focus on listening, speaking, and writing to help students communicate like native speakers. The goal is to immerse them in authentic language use for real-world conversations.
Listening: Students improve comprehension through listening to real-life dialogues, news, and media, focusing on different accents, tones, and natural speech.
Speaking: Emphasis is placed on pronunciation and fluency through interactive practice, role-playing, and everyday conversations.
Writing: Students learn to write Simplified Chinese characters, starting with basic strokes and progressing to more complex sentences for clear written communication.
Through this approach, students build the skills to speak, listen, and write confidently like native speakers.
