About Cherie
As a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) undergraduate and a Chinese-English translator, Mandarin is a language I use both academically and professionally on a daily basis.
Being fluent in both Mandarin and English allows me to explain concepts clearly and effectively, especially for students who are learning Mandarin as a second language. Whether you're a complete beginner, preparing for examinations, or learning Mandarin for work, I'll adapt my teaching style to suit your needs.
I believe language learning should be both enjoyable and practical. My goal is to help students build confidence, develop genuine interest in the language, and achieve steady improvement through engaging and personalised lessons.

Qualifications & Experience:
• Chinese-English translator
• Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) undergraduate
• Experienced private tutor for preschool, primary, and secondary school students
• Achieved Grade A in SPM Chinese
• Familiar with HSK and IB Mandarin syllabi
Lesson duration:
• 1 hour or 1.5 hours per session
• Suitable for students aged 10 and above
• Adults are welcome

Perfect! I was very impressed with Cherie's level of preparation during our trial class - she talked me through the structure of our lessons and short term, long term vision. Her teaching technique is well structured and far from rigid. She is very bubbly and personable, which allowed for a laugh as well!
