About Håvard
I am an educated civil engineer and a math and science teacher.
For the past five years I have worked as a teacher in mathematics, science, physics and chemistry in higher education.
In addition to work, I have been teaching private mathematics for 4 years now. Last year I had approx. 300 hours of private tutoring.

I help with what the student wants help understanding. It may be cramming just before an important test or it may be long-term follow-up to close gaps in understanding and gain great understanding of the subject well into the future.
During the course itself, I will usually focus on building an understanding of the subject by trying different ways to explain the most important concepts. After a few years in the school work, I have built up an understanding of what the common misconceptions are, and the teaching can thus be very effective compared to own work.

Håvard er en veldig strukturell lærer med høy kunnskap i realfag. Han går systematisk gjennom pensum, utvikler elevens ferdighet videre, men fokuserer også på elevens svakheter. Han har en god evne til å kommunisere med elevene, og gjør at matte går fra å være et vanskelig, til et gøy og interessant fag. Ut i fra vår erfaring er Håvard sterk anbefalt for elever både på ungdomsskole og videregående skole.
