About Sandra
At St. Edward's University I was a tutor for mathematics, accounting principles, and micro- and macroeconomic principles. I tutored one-on-one as well as for groups of 5-10 people. Mathematics is my specialty; I helped many students who hated math learn to love it and get through their classes.

My teaching methodology widely depends on how a student learns. I tend to lean toward visual learning with math and making up problems together. I like to build a picture of how to solve a type of problem so that when the student is by his or herself, they will be able to build their own picture and solve the problem. However, I know that not everyone learns this way and am happy to tweak my style of teaching to any student's needs! I love to teach and feel that being able to teach in a variety of ways is what defines a great teacher.

Details
If a student resides more than 10 km away, the rate is $25 per hour. If a student requires tutoring on the weekend, the rate is $30 per hour. If a student requires tutoring before 8 am or after 6 pm CST, the rate is $30 per hour. Discounts may be possible if tutoring is done over webcam.
