My Approach to Tutoring: I take a student-centered approach to tutoring, focusing on building strong foundational understanding while adapting my methods to suit each learner’s needs. I aim to create an encouraging and engaging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring mathematical concepts in depth. Techniques and Teaching Methodology: I use a mix of problem-solving, visual aids, real-life applications, and interactive discussion to help students connect abstract mathematical ideas with practical understanding. I emphasize logical thinking, step-by-step reasoning, and regular feedback to help students develop confidence and independence in their learning. I often assess a student’s current level in the first session and then tailor the lessons to fill gaps, reinforce strengths, and build toward their goals — whether academic exams, university preparation, or personal interest. Typical Lesson Length: Most of my lessons are 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student’s needs and concentration level. I find this length optimal for introducing new topics, working through examples, and allowing time for questions and review. Qualifications and Experience: I hold extensive experience in mathematics education, having taught at both the University of Cambridge and the University of Khartoum. My background includes lecturing, tutoring, and curriculum development across a wide range of mathematical topics. This experience has given me a broad perspective and the ability to work effectively with students from diverse academic backgrounds.
