About Emily
Hello! I am an experience Maths and Science tutor, also qualified to teach English as a second language.
I have a Masters degree in Science and worked as a Scientist for 5 years. I have been tutoring for 14 years, from primary level right up to GCSE. Along with this, I have also recently started giving English lessons online.
I love giving interactive and engaging lessons - nobody wants to be bored when they are learning! I use an approach of guiding students to discover the answers for themselves, rather than dictating facts, as I believe this helps to cement understanding.
I love to travel and have visited a wide variety of places around the world. My other hobbies include reading, sports and cooking. This broad selection gives a wide range of topics that we can discuss in my English lessons. I can help with conversational English, General English and academic English at all levels.
