About David
I have a background in both engineering and economics, with 21 years of professional experience solving complex analytical problems in real-world environments.
I hold a degree in Engineering, an Honors degree in Econometrics, and am currently completing a Masters of Economic Analysis at the University of Sydney.
I’m also a father of five, and understand the importance of building confidence and strong study habits in students.
My approach to math tutoring is calm, structured and practical. I focus on helping students clearly understand concepts step-by-step, improve problem-solving skills, and build confidence for school assessments and exams.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s level and learning style, with a focus on building strong foundations and improving confidence.
I work with students from Years 7–12 and can assist with:
• Algebra
• Fractions and percentages
• Equations and functions
• Geometry and trigonometry
• Calculus (senior maths)
• Exam preparation and homework support
Lessons are structured and step-by-step, ensuring students fully understand concepts before moving to more advanced problems.
I focus on helping students improve accuracy, problem-solving skills, and exam technique in a supportive learning environment.
First session available at a reduced rate to assess needs and identify areas for improvement.
I have only limited availability as I have a large family and full-time employment as an economist/financial markets trader.
