About Gurpreet
Hi, I’m Gurpreet, a secondary school teacher based in Melbourne. Teaching is a big part of who I am, not just my profession. My approach is strongly influenced by my belief in fairness, inclusion and supporting every student to feel valued and capable in their learning.
I am passionate about Math and Science, particularly VCE Math, Chemistry and Physics, and I enjoy helping students make sense of concepts that may initially feel overwhelming. I believe that with the right guidance and encouragement, every student can develop confidence and succeed in these subjects.
My teaching is grounded in building strong relationships with students and creating a calm, respectful and supportive environment. I focus on understanding each student as an individual and adapting my approach to meet their needs, so they feel comfortable asking questions and engaging in their learning.
For me, teaching is not just about improving marks, but about helping students grow in confidence, develop independence and build a positive mindset towards learning that stays with them beyond the classroom.

Hi, I’m Gurpreet, a secondary school teacher based in Melbourne. I teach VCE Math, Chemistry and Physics, and I am qualified to teach Math and Science from Year 7 to Year 12.
My tutoring style is clear, supportive and easy to follow. I break down difficult concepts into simple steps so students can understand the “why” behind what they are learning, not just memorize it. I also focus on exam techniques, problem solving and study skills to help students feel more confident and prepared.
Many of my students say they feel more confident after sessions and find my explanations easy to understand. I aim to create a calm and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.
Lessons are usually 60 minutes, and I adjust my teaching based on each student’s needs and learning style. My lessons are suitable for students who want to improve their understanding, build confidence and achieve better results in Math and Science.
