About George
I’ve been making and releasing music for over 30 years. Along the way, I’ve remixed respected international artists such as Les Amazones d’Afrique (Mali) and La Perla (Peru). I also work as a sound designer, creating sample packs and virtual instruments for platforms like Tracklib, and I beta-test for leading music technology companies including Ableton, Sonnox, and Polyverse. In addition, I run my own YouTube channel, sharing in-depth advice and tips on music hardware and software to help producers at all levels improve their skills. I currently teach music technology for M:Tech Music Academy, delivering creative music production courses in schools across Surrey. These lessons primarily use GarageBand, introducing students to composition, arrangement, and digital audio basics in a fun, accessible way.

I believe music production should feel inspiring and practical, not intimidating. My teaching style is hands-on and collaborative — I encourage students to bring their own creative goals and projects, and we build the lessons around them. This means whether you want to learn Ableton from scratch, refine your mixing and sound design skills, or explore hybrid setups combining hardware and software, every class is tailored to your needs. Techniques & Methodology: • Step-by-step guidance through Ableton Live, with real projects as examples • Practical exercises in beat-making, arranging, sound design, and mixing • Exploration of both digital workflows and hardware integration (synths, drum machines, FX) • Creative problem-solving, drawing from my own experience as a producer, remixer, and sound designer • Regular feedback and personalised resources to help you keep progressing between lessons Lesson Structure & Length: A typical session lasts 60–90 minutes, depending on the student’s preference. I often recommend 90 minutes for production work, as it allows us to dig deeper into creative ideas without rushing. Lessons can be one-off focused sessions, or ongoing weekly/fortnightly classes to build skills step by step.
