Find out more about Noah

  • When did you first develop a passion for music and your favorite instrument?

I've always been a huge music fan, growing up surrounded by diverse sounds. My journey took a pivotal turn in 2015 when I attended an Avicii concert and fell in love with EDM. That experience inspired me to start producing my own music and truly shape my creative path.
  • Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

I'm especially drawn to electronic house music that incorporates analog sounds. I enjoy the challenge of replicating the warmth, subtle pitch shifts, and organic textures of analog gear within a digital environment; it's a sound that continually inspires my work.
  • Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

The most riveting course I can offer is one that guides a student through the complete process of crafting a track from scratch. This course would integrate hands-on projects with deep dives into sound design, arrangement, mixing, and mastering. I focus on breaking down complex techniques into clear, manageable steps, helping students not only understand but also confidently apply these methods to create their own unique sound.
  • What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

I believe a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) is one of the most complex instruments to master. It's an incredibly powerful tool that combines technical skill with creative artistry. Learning to navigate its myriad features and workflows can take years of practice, much like mastering a traditional instrument, but it opens up endless possibilities in music production.
  • What are your keys to success?

For me, success in music production boils down to perseverance, continuous learning, and an unwavering passion for creativity. Patience is crucial and mastery takes time, and staying motivated to push through challenges ensures constant growth. This blend of persistence and passion has been the foundation of my journey as both a producer and a tutor.
  • Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

I would love to meet Avicii for his groundbreaking vision in EDM and the energy he brought to live performances, Michael Jackson for his unmatched artistry and influence across music genres, and Mac Miller for his innovative approach to blending genres and honest storytelling. Each of these artists has profoundly shaped the landscape of music and continues to inspire me.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

One key lesson I learned early on was the importance of understanding the "rules" of music production only to realize that, ultimately, those rules are made to be broken. In my early days, I spent countless hours learning the technical foundations and standards of production. It was only after mastering those basics that I truly embraced experimentation and innovation, a turning point that has defined my creative process ever since.
  • What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

I bring a genuine passion for music and a technical geek's enthusiasm to every lesson. I pride myself on offering personalized guidance, breaking down intricate concepts into practical steps, and staying up-to-date with the latest industry techniques. My dedication to both the art and the science of music production ensures that each student receives a tailored, engaging, and deeply enriching learning experience.
